Listening section
In this section of the test, you will have the chance to show how well you understand spoken English. There are four parts to this section with special directions for each part.

Part I: Questions 1 to 3
Directions, For each item, there is a picture in your text book and four short statements about it on the tape. They are spoken TWICE, and are not written out in your text book, so you must listen to them carefully. You must choose one statement , (A), (B), (C), or (D)- that best describes the picture. Then, on your answer sheet, mark your choice. 
After you listen to the dialogue and the question about it, read the five possible answers, and decide which one would be the best answer to the question you have heard. Now listen to a sample question.

followed by four answers. You have to choose the best answer to each question and mark it on your
answer sheet.
Questions 12 and 13 refer to the following announcement.
Woman :

Dear shoppers. Please be informed that the elevator facility is temporary unavailable due to the
maintenance program. That starts at 9.30 and run approximately 45 minutes. We sincerely apologize
for the inconvenience cause. We will inform you as soon as maintenance has been completed. Thank
you for your understanding in this matter.

Questions 14 and 15 refer to the following instruction.
Woman : When you were installing your computer system, remember to follow to the set up
direction in the manual. Perform all steps in the order presented in it. Proceed slowly and carefully
to make sure that you put each cable into the correct socket. The pin in the ply aligns with the
corresponding holes in the socket and so on. Each cable usually has different plug on each two
ends making it almost impossible for you to make kinds of mistakes. But to prevent short circuit,
don’t play in the power cable or switch on any component until you have cable checked every
connection.
